About
After moving to Vietnam in 2010, I have lived and travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. This journey has given me the chance to meet new people, observe their culture, and experience their way of life. I am passionate about visual storytelling and relish the opportunity to capture those fleeting moments in everyday life.
Although industrial projects brought me to Asia, some of my most rewarding work was within the local communities surrounding Besra’s (Formerly, Olympus Pacific Minerals) mine sites. Through listening to the locals and coordinating efforts with the corporate social responsibility team, Besra created outreach programs tailored to the specific needs of its residents. By documenting improvements and partnering with non-governmental organisations such as East Meets West, we provided clean drinking water, improved local hospitals, helped those poisoned with dioxin during the American war, and created much-needed infrastructure. This opportunity was life-changing for me.
My experience there inspired me to move on to the Cambodian Children’s Fund as part of their marketing team, a top 50 organisation worldwide and a 4-star charity by Charity Navigator. It was a privilege to work with such outstanding individuals in an intrinsic grassroots organisation.
After this experience, I created content for all the Trails of Indochina brands, including offerings in cruise, adventure, and luxury tailored experiences.
Besides photography, I’m also proficient in producing and editing video content, graphic design, and social media marketing. My contributions to graphic design include corporate presentations, corporate magazines/newsletters, designing ad space, print materials, packaging, and trade show displays.
I have a fine art background and a degree in Integrated Media from OCAD University. After graduation, I worked in the independent film industry, which fuelled my interest in documentary narratives.
